I received a call today on my wife's cell phone that appears to be a phishing scam. The wife was busy so I answered her phone, which by the way her number is not given out to very many people.
On the line was a poorly recorded message claiming to be Visa, they said my debit card had been suspended because of a security breach and I could no longer use it for purchases unless I pushed 1 to reactivate it. I pushed 1 and was told that if I wanted to reactivate my card so I could once again use it for purchasing that I needed to push 1. I did again, then was told to reinstate my account and activate my card I needed to punch in my 16 digit card number which I did.
Just kidding, at this point I just hung up the phone. Upon examining the caller ID it showed a number, so I hit redial and was thanked, via recorded message for RSVPing the Johnson wedding.I called Visa and gave all the details to the fraud department, so maybe something can be done.
The important thing to remember here is that if ANYBODY calls claiming to be from the credit card company and asks for your credit card number, DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM, simply hang up and call the number on the back of your card to investigate the problem.

The dawn of a new era
Well much to my disbelief it happened, President elect Obama was sworn in as the President of the United States. Not once but twice I hear, guess he couldn't get it right the first time. You would think that something as important as the office of the President of the United States would be worth rehearsing for.
I say much to my disbelief and by this I mean that to me there where too many unanswered questions about President Obamas eligibility and experience level for a job of this caliber. But me being just a middle class working man I don't get to have much pull in seeking clarification on this issue. Others with more money and political ties where able to have there way with the issue and in my opinion managed to cover up or gloss over too many questionable areas.
So now we are left to deal with an already back peddling President who promised the world but won't be able to deliver the goods. The American people should by now know that Politicians will promise anything to get elected but in reality are seriously restricted by administration as to what they can actually accomplish.
I'm hoping that I am proven wrong and President Obama can pull off some of his promises and get the economy back on track, I don't like working my azz off for peanuts just squeaking by, while the Government wastes so many tax dollars on pork barrel projects and frivolous pursuits to pad some big wigs bankroll.

Catching up
Who would have thought that when I started this blog over a year ago that it would be so easily forgotten and put on a back burner. The, (my) problem seems to be "what to talk about" Anyone else have these problems? I guess the slow down in work, trucking, and the recent blizzard in SD has given me some time to get back into here and try again.
We have some exciting news with our website, our shipper has been able to standardize the shipping rates for APO and FPO shipping and the cost has come down some. Unfortunately we have temporarily lost our supplier for the organics line and other fruits and nuts, hopefully a replacement is in the near future.
One closing thought. What about those elections in the US? Things didn't come out at all like I would have hoped. I am somewhat worried that when President elect Obama takes office and things don't immediately change as he has promised that the public will not take it lightly. I am also concerned about the future of our amended rights as guaranteed by the United States Constitution.
